  1. We have to come visit - love your blog. We have 2 mango trees in our yard, but are not sure how to keep pests from nibbling at them. Do you have any tips? Thanks!

  2. Dogs are great for chasing away pests. Also picking fruit when it's mature but not ripe works. Animals tend to eat only ripe or almost ripe fruit, so ripening fruit inside takes the attraction away from them.

  3. Good tips, but we have no dog (and the cats don't seem to be working) and the fruits seem to be nibbled on an dropped before quite ripening.

  4. Try picking fruit that looks comparable to the fruit the animals have nibbled on, and ripen inside or on a screened porch.

  5. Thanks Chris.
Is it okay to bring them inside, or is it better to keep them outdoors for ripening? We keep our AC around 80 so it is fairly warm indoors.
