Fruit for Saturday, June 18

GREAT NEWS!!!
We have LOTS more mangos than last Saturday!

Mango varieties will include...

  • Glenn
  • Dupuis Saigon
  • Dwarf Hawaiian
  • Lemon Meringue
  • Pim Sane Mun
  • Graham
  • Carrie
  • Tess Pollock
  • Southern Blush
  • Rosa
  • Haden
  • a few of several other varieties
This will be the best selection of the season for Glenn, Dupuis Saigon and Dwarf Hawaiian.  All of these varieties are very high quality and popular.
Glenn is the favorite variety of many of our customers.  Dwarf Hawaiian and Dupuis Saigon are less well-known.
Dwarf Hawaiian is a cross between the Julie and Kent varieties. Some of our customers like the Dwarf Hawaiian at full ripeness when the flesh becomes creamy.  Most people prefer it slightly under ripe.  In either stage, Dwarf Hawaiian is rich and very sweet, with a noticeable coconut taste.
Dupuis Saigon is a very sweet Asian type mango that has a hint of orange.  Last year we had very few Dupuis Saigon, so many people did not have the opportunity to fall in love with it.

Other Fruit...

  • Coconuts
  • Sapodilla

  2. We will be open Tuesday 1:30-2:30.
Our most popular size of mango tree is in a 3-gallon container and sells for $35. The next size up sells for $65. Do you know what varieties you might be interested in? We do not accept credit cards yet.

  3. I am fairly new to this whole mango thing. All I know is a neighbor of mine let's me pick mangoes from their tree and I love them. Not sure what kind they are. I'm coming with the hope you can help me to learn the different kinds of mangoes. I would be interested in a dwarf mango tree. I have 3 trees in my back yard I planted from seeds last year.

    1. we have several dwarf varieties.
It's good to plant grafted trees because you know the fruit you'll get, and the tree will produce fruit MUCH sooner than seedlings
